“Orizuru” (Origami Crane)

Speaking of Origami, I think Crane is the most famous subject everyone come up with at first. And also, lots of people think “Why Japanese makes lots of Origami cranes?”
In Japan, cranes are considered as a kind of symbol which makes “a wish” comes true.
For example, Japanese people send Origami cranes to those who are struggling to recover from the bad situation, such as sickness or disaster (Hurricanes, Earthquakes), with wishing them recovering earlier.
In special, “Senbazuru” (千羽鶴, meaning “thousand cranes”) are created for the people who have such a bad situation.
Each crane connected by a string, they are creating a thousand cranes.

As you know well about “Ninja”, “Shuriken” is a famous weapon used by Ninja.
Speaking of Shuriken, popular shape is like star. You can create such shape of Shuriken by Origami!!
It needs 2 sheets of papers. How you coordination of the colors of 2 sheets is one of the important point. Once created, I guarantee kids are so exited to play with it.
Kids may throw it like Ninja, but please be careful so that kids don’t throw it to people!!

Please see the following video to see how to create “Shuriken” (Hand blade). This is a Japanese Video but I think you can understand how to create it.
